Which files in this folder hold personal data?
Choose a folder. The tool looks at the files in it and tells you which ones hold Aadhaar numbers, PANs, bank accounts and other client details, and how long ago each was last changed.
- Nothing is uploaded. The files are read on this device. The report shows file names and counts, never the numbers inside the files.
- Nothing is saved. The report is gone when you close or refresh this page, unless you download it.
- It reads Excel, Word and PowerPoint files (older .xls, .doc and .ppt only in part), CSV and text files, and PDFs whose words can be selected. Photos, scanned pages and locked files cannot be read: they are listed for you to check by hand. Hidden and system files are skipped.
